published.

My work, for example (everything but Starship Operators Manual) was never
Since most of the Aslan language words and the means of generating more were
laid out in the Aslan module by Andy Keith, I think GDW has rights to about
any Aslan word, whether they coined it or not. Events and characters first
published in DGP material are another matter. I would not be surprised to
find that Andy Keith wrote something somewhere that uses the word prior to
the DGP instance anyway. Keep looking :-)
filed for it and then he would until you challenged it. If it is
Well, this means there could be systems physically within the 3I (or any
other empire) that couldn't be reached by Jump. STL ships from these
systems could arrive in the middle of the imperium without having to travel
I would think that all of the Children and Grandchildren would be either
dead or pinched off with Grandfather (or their own space). If any were out
and about, why wouldn't they have a little empire carved out for themselves?
I'm sorry, but nothing the Imperial Navy has can deal with White Globes,
Disintegrators, Jump Projectors, Antimatter Missiles, and other toys...

Now in MTU, however, I've got a group of six Droyne worlds that remember the
good 'ol days - that is, they never suffered the cultural slide back that
most Droyne suffered. They know the true history of the Droyne and such -
but without Grandfather or the Kiddies, they simply have little drive or
ability to maintain high technology - so they're only TL 13 (GTL 11) now.
I had a bunch of them, but I lost the files in a crash. Are they
collected somewhere? Perhaps Kenji keeps them somewhere... perhaps in a
bunker... in order to prepare for Y2K...
If you ever manage to create this, you must post a picture of fifty on
the web somewhere. Otherwise, we will send the leeeegals after you.
Well, not so long ago people were discussing the reliability of the
US Postal Service. I'm impressed - Don McKinney sent me two excellent
condition Traveller products from his last auction on the 29th Nov,
and they arrived on 2nd Dec - 4 days from the US to the UK seems good
to me.

And BTW, thanks to Don - I'm impressed with Dark Nebula!
I have enjoyed the BITS 101 products and am looking forward to the new
adventures that are coming out, but there is one BITS product that I need,
but cannot find. Does anyone anywhere know where I can lay my hands on a
copy of the 1997 version of The Traveller Bibliography? I have spoken with
Timothy Collinson, inquired of BITS and scoured the eBay listings. I know
that there is a new, updated version at the printers, but I need the earlier
version. Anyone?

I'm not going into any damn bunker for Y2K! I already missed some great
fun in Seattle this last week (meek, cautious, mossy rioters!) by moving
out to Puritanland. Next public mayhem that happens, I expect to get my
damn front-row seat! I'm a Haaaahvad student, I *deserve* these things.

(Irony only on last sentence, s'il vous plait).

I don't have the designs any more, actually. But never fear! Some
clueless soul, obviously no reader of the TML, has sold me a copy of Fire,
Fusion, and Steel II! Now I'm redesigning all those favorites of
yesteryear -- the PMPP, the RoboReindeer, the TL-C Bong, the Foucault
Class Discursive Cruisers, the Lav Ship...

In fact, just while typing this email, I had an exceptionally sick thought
I'm going to translate into Traveller hardware as soon as I get back to my
rooms.
Is this a real advertising glitch? Like the foreign soda ad saying "Drink
I'm having thought along these lines as well. My ISP is what I am using for
server space now, and they are a real ho-dunk operation. I use a Mac, and
they say they can't support CGI scripting unless I'm using Win95 or NT. I
don't know if they know what they are talking about, but I'm no better
informed myself. I have some forms and stuff I have been working on for
RPGs, and would like to get them up on my site. So I guess I should move it.
